A MODERN HARDWOOD BUSINESS...
The GTL Forest Group is a vertically integrated hardwood business. We begin with buying logs from loggers or buying timberland and responsibly harvesting timber in select cutting. As members of the KFIA, NHLA, IHLA, NWFA, AHEC, WPMA and ALC, we follow very strict guidelines for harvesting. Also, we only practice the select cut harvest method, no clear cuts.
The complete operation within log yards, sawmills and dry kilns insures supply while controlling cost. We pride ourselves in the ability to buy all species of logs, having a home for everything. Whether in exporting logs or processing through to rough kiln dried lumber.
The Partnerships
A ROCK SOLID FOUNDATION...
Graf and Thomas LBR of the forest group was founded by Damon Graf and Steven Thomas in 2016. Both owners are 3rdgeneration lumbermen that come very established families in the lumber business. Damon is from the Taylor Lumber/Graf Brothers group in Ohio, and Steve is from CJ Thomas Lumber in Kentucky. Damon and Steve have known each other 30 years, both played football and graduated from high school together.

GTL Lumber of the forest group added Greg Lute as a partner to help lead their lumber division. Greg has spent decades in the log/lumber industry most notably with Taylor Lumber and Greg Lute Trucking.
